BLACKHORSE PSYCHIATRY is a small, independently owned practice — not a large corporate clinic. All treatment is provided directly by a board-certified psychiatrist.

Dr. Crawford is a psychiatrist licensed in Pennsylvania and board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. Her extensive training included a 4-year psychiatry residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. There she served as junior chief, then chief resident. In medical school, she was selected for the exclusive problem-based learning curriculum at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey - School of Osteopathic Medicine. Her medical school & undergraduate education were supported by a number of scholarships. At the Pennsylvania State University, she double majored in biology and English, with honors.

She has a special interest in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). At her nearby VA, she serves as a local site investigator for a national PTSD research study based at the University of Pennsylvania.

At Blackhorse Psychiatry, Dr. Crawford treats all mental health diagnoses, from PTSD to depression to anxiety to addiction.
